"Munchkin Memorial Day Hash"

In memory of all shiggy-sock wearing Munchkins before us, including St. Louisan Mickey Carroll (who recently passed), come get lost in Munchkinland!

Celery and virgin co-hares, Titmouse and Fill-A-Penis, found the amazingly scary and dark secret passage to Emerald City! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS IT! As the hares/Munchkins lure you down the yellow brick road, you will get extra special prizes if you find two itsy bitsy Munchkins guiding you on trail!

In honor of the Munchkins, come dressed in your worst matching, striped, polka dot, or brightest most Munchkin-like attire for this hash! But you may want to leave your Munchkin shoes in the car as trail has aqua-shiggy, brush-shiggy, and urban shiggy. This trail is FUN! FUN! FUN! Note the on-after has $2.00 pitchers. . . yes. . . $2 pitchers AND karaoke!

Turkey and Eagle trails: Both trails meet up for some aqua-shiggy, but you don't need a wetsuit. We recommend shoes with good tread for climbing on the Eagle. And we DEFINITELY recommend the Eagle Trail, unless you absolutely can't do a small cliff climb.

Flashlight: Could help. . . but not essential.

Directions:

Basically, from Big Bend Road in Kirkwood, Marshall Road descends downhill into the Meramec Valley. At the base of the hill is Greentree Park, and on the left, is the entrance to the Greentree Trailhead of the westbound Meramec Greenway Trail. We will circle up there. Couple different ways to get there:

From Illinois through downtown or from South City:
1. West on 44 toward 270
2. Take exit 278 for Big Bend Rd 0.2 mi
3. Slight right at Big Bend Rd 0.6 mi
4 Slight left to stay on Big Bend Rd 1.4 mi
5. Turn left at Marshall Rd. Destination will be on the right. 1.2 mi Look for hashers!

From Illinois via J.B. Bridge:
1. Get to 270 North
2. Take exit 5A for Watson Rd/MO-366 1.2 mi
3. Turn left at S Geyer Rd 0.9 mi
4. Turn left at Big Bend Rd 0.8 mi
5. Turn left at Marshall Rd
Destination will be on the right 1.2 mi. First left into the park marked Green Tree Park (at Meramec Greenway). Look for Hashers!

If you are coming from Fenton at 44 and 141:
1. Turn right at MO-141 0.7 mi
2. Turn right at Marshall Rd 0.2 mi
3. Slight left at Beckett Memorial Dr 341 ft
4. Slight right at St Louis Ave 1.1 mi
5. Slight left at Marshall Rd
Destination will be on the left about a mile and a half. Look for the last parking lot before the park ends on your right hand side. Find the hashers!

If you are coming from the North:
1. I-270 W
2. Take exit 7 for Big Bend Rd 0.2 mi
3. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Valley Park and merge onto Big Bend Rd 390 ft
4. Turn left at S Glenwood Ln 0.2 mi
5. Slight right at Timberview Rd 0.2 mi
6. Turn left at Timberbrook Dr 0.3 mi
7. Turn right at Marshall Rd
First left into the park marked Green Tree Park (Meramec Greenway). Look for Hashers!
