Frederick the Great was an enlightened ruler yet caught under his father’s war spell. One of his greatest battle victories lost 90% of 70,000 troops and was only won after the infantry swept the battlefield after the cavalry was crushed and running away.

His statue on a horse bears a great resemblance to the St. Louis statue at the Art Museum.
